We tested the add-on media with the official 15.0 download DVD as base product. This official DVD5 contains about 4.5 GB software for ix86 or x86_64 computers and can be found at http://software.opensuse.org.
openSUSE Education team is proud to present openSUSE-Edu Li-f-e (Linux for Education) based on openSUSE 15.0. The image is a "hybrid" iso image, the same image can be used to burn a Live DVD or to create a Live USB stick.
The Live DVD contains KIWI-LTSP server that can be enabled even by non-technical user, it comes bundled with tons of useful applications from openSUSE Education, Build Service and Packman repositories. With the KIWI-LTSP server you can PXE(network) boot other PCs to use this live DVD without installing or modifying anything on them. Booting from hard disk again will leave those PCs as they were. (Please note that running LTSP from Live DVD/USB is meant for demo/testing purpose only, install on the hard disk to use it in production).
The aim of this DVD is to provide complete education and development resources for parents, students, teachers as well as IT admins running labs at educational institutes.

As we are an "online community" , we use many forms of online communitcation to help other users, coordinate our work or just talk about the latest interesting things for education.
Have a look at http://en.opensuse.org/Education/Communicating to get in touch with us.
We are a very young and small community and it could be possible that we overlook a fault in one of the hundred packages we have to create and maintain for the different distributions and architectures. If you find a fault in one of our packages, please inform us - so we can fix it. You can use one of the possible communication forms above or enter a bug directly in our bugtracking system.
openSUSE Education uses the openSUSE bugtracking system for failures in packages or online repositories: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/. Please report all bugs you encounter using this Release of openSUSE Education 1.0 for 15.0 in the openSUSE Bugzilla https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/.
The source RPMs for "openSUSE Education packages" are available at http://www.opensuse-education.org/download/repos/1.0/15.0/suse/src/.
Support for all languages is available on the medium.
Additional lessons for pauker can be found in the pauker-lessons package. The lessons are installed in the directory /usr/share/pauker. So you have to navigate to this directory in pauker to find them.
Plutimikation is a very young KDE application and has currently a low functionality. For testing reasons, we included this package nonetheless.
The KDE-menu of the Kiosk-Education-Settings is too small. It needs to be manually enlarged. Click on the upper right corner of the KDE menu to enlarge it.
